Educating Students From Pre-K through 8th Grade
Holy Disciples Catholic School provide the finest in Catholic education to our students. Our expert faculty engages students in grades pre-K through 8 with a challenging and hands-on curriculum. From reading, literacy, science and math to music, arts, and world language, students develop within a framework that values the individuality of each child.
Using proven instructional methods and the latest technology, we provide students with an array of skills, knowledge, and experiences that will help them succeed in high school and beyond.
Engaging Academics Offered in a Dual Campus Model
We support the continuous improvement of student achievement and our curriculum is designed to exceed state and national standards. We follow curriculum standards that are published by the Archdiocese of Hartford Center for Catholic Education and Formation. We maintain a broad and balanced curriculum, including religion, language arts (English grammar, phonics, writing, reading, vocabulary, spelling, oral language, and handwriting), science, mathematics, geography, social studies, health/wellness, physical education, the arts, music, world languages, and service learning.

Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is enhanced daily by the use of technology in each classroom. Students in Pre-K through Grade 8 use SmartBoards regularly and also receive weekly Computer Education. Each child has access to and learns to use desktop and laptop computers, as well as iPads and ChromeBooks.
The technology curriculum includes coding, keyboarding, digital citizenship, proper use of the internet for communication and research, and gives students the opportunity to learn many software programs, such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite and apply these tools to their school work.
Teachers enhance their daily instruction with programs such as the SeeSaw, Pear Deck, Kami, Google Suite, flipped classroom, webquests, virtual field trips lessons, Zoom/Google Meet visits with authors and experts, and more. To review our Curriculum Standards in more detail, click here.
